komponiert am Computer wie am Notenblatt, spielt mit ihrer Stimme wie mit einem unbegrenzten
Klanggenerator, arrangiert die Parts ihrer Gastmusiker_innen von der Flöte bis zur Harfe auf dem
Blatt und macht doch, obwohl sie so akademisch genau weiß, was sie tut, Musik, die direkt auf den
emotionalen Kern hinzielt. Man kennt sie von Solo-Auftrtitten, vielleicht aber auch von ihrer Rolle

aktionstheater ensembles. „Starchild“ heißt nun Aishas magnum opus, ihr Debüt-Album, das ein

Aisha Eisa ist Sängerin, Songwriterin und Performance-Künstlerin aus Wien. Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten entwickelt sie eine eigenständige künstlerische Sprache an der Schnittstelle von Musik, Theater, Tanz und Performance. Mit ihrer ausdrucksstarken Stimme verbindet sie Alternative Pop, Electronica, World Music und experimentelle Klangwelten zu einem atmosphärischen und genreübergreifenden Sound.
Ihre künstlerische Laufbahn führte sie auf Bühnen in Österreich, Deutschland, Belgien, Ungarn, Tschechien, Dänemark, Russland und in die USA. Mit ihren eigenen Projekten veröffentlichte sie die Alben Starchild und Twin Swan, deren Songs unter anderem auf FM4 präsentiert wurden.
Neben ihrer Solokarriere arbeitete Aisha Eisa mit international renommierten Künstlern und Ensembles zusammen. Als Backgroundsängerin stand sie mit dem Grammy-prämierten Reggae-Pionier Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry auf der Bühne und konzertierte mit Dubblestandart in Österreich, Ungarn und Russland. Weitere musikalische Kooperationen verbinden sie mit dem Electronica-Duo Tosca sowie I-Wolf & The Chainreactions, mit denen sie auf Festivals wie Vienna Waves, Poolbar Festival und dem Donauinselfest auftrat.
Auch im Theater- und Performancebereich ist Aisha Eisa seit vielen Jahren aktiv. Sie arbeitete unter anderem mit dem Aktionstheater Ensemble, war Mitglied des Kulturforums Klangwerk und entwickelte zahlreiche interdisziplinäre Produktionen, in denen Musik, Bewegung und szenische Performance ineinandergreifen. Als Sängerin und Schauspielerin wirkte sie zuletzt in der Produktion Wasserwelten mit Anne Bennent und Otto Lechner mit.
Internationale Impulse erhielt ihre Arbeit durch Konzertaufenthalte in New York in den Jahren 2016 und 2024, unterstützt vom Austrian Cultural Forum New York, das ihre Aufenthalte sowie die Präsentation ihrer Musik förderte. Parallel engagierte sie sich als Kuratorin der Weltmusik Sessions im Tunnel Wien und vertiefte ihre performative Praxis durch eine Ausbildung zur Tanz- und Bewegungspädagogin.
Im Zentrum ihrer Arbeit steht die Verbindung von Stimme, Körper und Klang. Aisha Eisa versteht Musik als performativen Raum, in dem persönliche Geschichten, gesellschaftliche Themen und emotionale Tiefe aufeinandertreffen. Biography
Aisha Eisa, as her full name goes, is a trained singer, dancer and actress. She composes both on
the computer and on paper, plays with her voice as if it were an infinite sound generator, arranges
the parts of her guest musicians – from the flute to the harp – on the page, and yet, for all her
academic precision, she creates music that aims straight at the emotional core. You may know her
from solo performances, perhaps also from her role in I-Wolf & The Chainreactions, or from the cast
of Pension Europa by the Aktionstheater Ensemble. “Starchild” is the title of Aisha’s magnum opus,
her debut album, released one month before her appearance on the Seebühne with Urban
Legends, the label run by Nomadee: her own coming-of-age drama, a story of personal
development that also serves as a metaphor for social transformation — told both within and
beyond the forms of Nu-Classic Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and experimental music. “Ambitious”
hardly begins to describe it. But for all that she manages to bring together under one hat — or
rather under her voluminous headscarf — AishaE always appears as if she has everything perfectly

Aisha Eisa is a singer, songwriter, composer, and performance artist based in Vienna, Austria. For more than two decades, she has developed a distinctive artistic language at the intersection of music, theatre, dance, and performance. With her expressive voice, she blends alternative pop, electronica, world music, and experimental soundscapes into an atmospheric, genre-defying musical style.
Her artistic career has taken her to stages across Austria, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, and the United States. As a solo artist, she has released the albums Starchild and Twin Swan, with songs featured on Austria’s renowned radio station FM4.
Alongside her solo work, Aisha Eisa has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles. She performed as a backing vocalist with Grammy Award-winning reggae pioneer Lee “Scratch” Perry and toured with Dubblestandart in Austria, Hungary, and Russia. Her musical collaborations also include the electronic duo Tosca and I-Wolf & The Chainreactions, performing at festivals such as Vienna Waves, Poolbar Festival, and the Donauinselfest.
Aisha has also been active in theatre and interdisciplinary performance for many years.
